Is My Brand in AI is an independent resource for one question: when people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews about your category, does your brand come up? We publish data-backed guides and free tools to help you become a source these engines cite — without the hype.
Why this site exists
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is a new field, and most of what's written about it is either marketing for a $200-a-month tool or vague hype. We take the opposite approach: every claim is sourced, we say plainly what works in 2026 and what doesn't yet, and we publish the same free tools we use ourselves. That honesty isn't only a principle — it's also what AI engines reward.
How we work
- Sourced, not hyped. Every claim points to its evidence, and we flag what's still unproven instead of guessing.
- Free tools, no signup. Our llms.txt generator runs in your browser, free, with nothing to install.
- Updated as the evidence changes. AI search moves fast — we revise our guides rather than leave stale advice up.
Who's behind it
I'm Minel Gunesoglu, founder of Is My Brand in AI. I work on this hands-on, in the same category I write about — not from the sidelines.
Day to day, that means: I build the free tools this site points to; I read the public citation studies as they land and test the moves on my own pages to see which ones actually change the answers; I watch which pages Google pulls into its AI Overviews and which it quietly skips; I read Perplexity's answers and track which sources it cites; I added an llms.txt file to this site and have watched the server logs and engine answers ever since; and I track my own brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews week over week.
Because I'm building in this space, I keep every comparison merit-based and every claim sourced — that honesty is the whole point, and it's also what the engines reward.
